Seems that the Spacing Guild is interested in topology now.

Quote from a research paper I presented today. Totally missed this error the writers made until today.

A. H. Pakiari, K. Eskandari, J. Mol. Struc. THEOCHEM, 759 (2006), 51-60

"With respect to the parameters in Table 2, there is a correlation between the H-bond energy and rho(r), G(r), V(r) and H(r) for the O-H and O:::H bonds in the invesitgated spices."

Spice eh???

Excellent. Seems like the Freeman have their facts right.
Or should that read species.

Bunch of jokers.

"Are you saying the Duke's son is a Crag Nanny?!"

"No, Merely that he maybe a Nanny."

Brain overload!!! Remove/Replace

Wow what a week so far. I feel like a tampura prawn... all frazzled and crunchy.

So whats been going on you may ask (or not...sigh... hard crowd to please).

Well the last few days in labs have been good, no better than good, lets say it's been a culmination of things well over due and finally there are signs that things are on the way to the ultimate goals.

Basically yesterday the computer churned out the numbers and god damn their nice. The theory seems sound and the predictions really nice. All the numbers and files and computations have given me some great stuff to put in my paper. There is still one thing left to sort out due to a well stoopid error I made but then thats what you get when you deal with vast amounts of data manually. Oh well seems Mike has premptively hit on the same idea as I had and those errors should not happen again.

Silly fucking human. remember guys.... KIBO.

So things are also ready for my presentation on Friday, just going through a few papers to give the group a quick overview of the theories and the problems (basically some bad ass quantum mechanics and how it can be used to classify chemical bonds, finally removing the ideas that even though being over 100 years old are taught to every undergrad today). Looks like I'm going paradigm killing. Plus it totally fits with my main project, the one I design for my Bsc student, and also the work by Alex in our group (QSAR using quantum mechanical descriptors).

SO yes Friday. 6:30pm, the Big G(C), drink. There is good reason for this all. Presentations and early morning meetings means no proper drinking Thursday night (tonight) or my birthday. Just gotta postpone things a bit.

Ok other news?

Well I finally slogged through writing a D20 character sheet for Etherscope, and wrote the character background for the main protagonist in my short story. So hopefully that should all appear very soon on a shop shelf.

Also finally, after running the game for a good year and a half, have written the last two episodes for the game. Feels like a weight has been taken of my shoulders completing that. It's meant that i can finally gorge myself on some books that have sat unread since the day I bought them. Forward ho!

Right so thats  about a wrap.

Oh this Sat i know most of you lot are off to Wendyhouse, and I will be there so much merriment is to be had.

Finally next Sat is my trek to London with others for a proper birthday outing (seems quite a few are going down that weekend with the same plan).

Oh and Chung Kuo.... read it... live it.... begin!

Yeah that looks like the lot.

Epic Future Cat... Chung Kuo

I WILL NOT TOLLERATE THIS!!!

HUI!!

BEGIN!!

D20... why be so tedious

I shouldn't complain that much... I am writing stuff for it... but still my strength is not sitting about making NPC's for it...it takes too long!

But it done now and the character, Gyre, is ready.

Phew.... so thats a short story (not that short a story), the background for Gyre and his stats done. Next??

Well I still have a Vampire game to finish off.... at last I can focus on just puttin dots on a sheet, oh and working on the next article to write... hmmmmmm... I still have those books on victorian society to read through..... damn more books to read. O.O

Oh and work has been sweet today. Very good. The force field may actually work (force field meaning molecular model... not the start trek type). It really does pump out some nice numbers. Time to get those into the paper.

Oh and another attempt at a meal from my Wagamama cook book. Was very yummy.

Right I need a graf, tea and to just sit and read.

Oh and just because I love this image

What to say???

Right well here's an update... been a while since the last.

Whats happened then.

Errmmm..... ok so we had 's birthday on Thursday with an amusing trip to Rock World where we basically just watched the loveliest chinese girl dance (FULL ON CHUNG KUO!), followed by Friday at the Rampant Lion where had her birthday party. Many others attended though I only stayed long enough to give the birthdya girl her present before making tracks to Club Lash with and . My fun was had that evening.

Saturday was one hell of a night of drunken revelry. Things simply got out of control, drink and graf's a plenty. Snow soon fell from the tops of Mount Fuji and a bed got broken. Follow that with a game of Bin Kuo Chung Head and some cylon snow spraying of toxic and sugary proportions, it ended in great amusement.

Ok so this week??? Well there is Wendyhouse coming up and then next week it's brithday time for me!! Crash space in London is being hunted down by the Gladraf's finest merc's, feared across 20 quadrants and 7 star empires.

And it is in the velvet black of sleep and oneiros that phobetor lies in wait.

Yawn.....

Bugger... slept too long. Up last night, after watching Apocalypto with , which is an ace film by the way, quite shocking, I was working on a character sheet to go with my short story. I have one more level to apply to the character, though it has made me quicker at doing this for D20, but it doesn't mean I like it.

Today should be pretty good as I have rerun some data for my paper, got into a new field of research that is about the classification of bonds by using quantum mechanical descriptors (yes were in giant killing territory again), and later off to the pub for 's birthday. And then all again tomorrow and off to Lash.

Earlier in the week nothing much other than going to Geek Up with .

Also started reading Bloodtide by Melvin Burgess, and Chung Kuo by David Wingrove. Both different so as not to confuse me while reading both.

Picture time.

Based off a conversation last night and a piss take on Time Trumpet is bring you insurgents.

As Americans (well that's a bit harsh... lets say the administration) like to call terrorists...... terrist!

Well here I bring you terrierists!!!!

Woof woof, bang bang, oh fuck your dead!

Ohhhh ..... moody

Does Not play well with others
Ooh, you're a dark one. Sitting in the corner, singing to yourself, playing with matches and twitching. Most of the time you instinctively avoid company, and if you're forced into close proximity, things do not go well. You can probably stop stabbing that teddybear now. It's not going anywhere.
What's your malfunction?

Roll a Hard Six!

Ok so things are now sorted for the weekend of Friday the 26th to go down to London and to go to Slime's for my birthday and Rachel's. Huzzah!

Work has been ok so far. Trying to get together the finer points on some data today, restating a whole load of jobs (40000+) due to a stoopid error in the creation of the files. Annoying but it won't take too long as I can work on the the two force fields (which reminds me... ).

Other cool news?? Finished my edit of my short story for Etherscope. Now have new plans in action. Plus I have my book back from Luke... though it's now a little more puerile. Engage Megafunnel!!!!

So yeah currently lotsa of things at half way stages or nearly finished stages. Just need to get a few things done and dusted to feel a bit better.

Oh yeah... Fading Suns rawks!!!

Chung Kuo will begin!!! Hui!!! Tonight!!!!

Sierra Alpha...... this is not a drill

Right, currently sat at work readin sciency stuff and pondering... so I might as well open up my thoughts to the forum.

When to go down to London for my birthday this month? What to go to while there??? Which club is on???

I'm just getting a little frustrated thinking this out as I feel it all might go the way of my usual birthdays (total fuck up due to no input and ideas from anyone).

So really I'd prefer not this weekend but next weekend... but thats if there is anything to go and do.

I'm gonna go hide back in my office now and pull marinated skunks out of my nostrils.

The Door Swings both Ways

Ok so this is the new year... in fact the second day of the new year.

Whats it all mean, any plans for the year in total.

Well we do have getting a few papers published and also finishing off a few programs.

There is also the writing which i really need to do some more off tomorrow.

On top off all that there is life it self. Holiday wise I have no clue where I want to go. So long as it's good value and fun I don't care. Being toying with the idea of Venice, Barcelona, Greece, but also I have the chance for some international conferences... one being in Boston that has my eye on it.

The only downer in all this is being single. This year has really been a year of ups and downs and extremes. I have a better idea of what I am looking for but It that good old waiting game.

Oh look I have a new logo. Was in total WipeOut mode and thought I'd design some thing cool, very Etherscope as well.

Now of course there is my birthday coming and plans and now being put into action for it. Ideas coming together.

Right video this time

Have fun guys
