Milestone
So the paper is finally submitted. Yesterday evening Paul and I finalised the abstract and sent the paper off. Hopefully there wont be that many changes to make.
Now what's been going on???
Well it's close to moving time. Fortunately my contracts overlap by a week.
Also need to finish this second year report now.
But since the last post? Hmmm.....
Friday my presentation was solid. 3 handouts and lots of new ideas that were useful for the entire group. I like it when i get to say something profound.
Well the weekend past was going to be the medieval fayre at Tatton Park with glittersavvy. However the weather was crap in the morning so we went to Toy'r'us and we were awe struck by the massive Transformers display. I promptly sat before a huge Optimus Prime toy and despaired at the £40 price tag. So we sauntered about being ultra puerile and geeky and I found 2 nice Decepticons to buy.
General hanging out with es0terika, daisydoggy and others watching Marco Polo and this "ace" film called Cerberus. yay.
The rest of the week was then just spent getting this paper finished and spending a nice evening with glittersavvy last night, with Tuesday being drinks with cyberai_dan for his birthday at Socio Rehab. Rest of the week???
Well I need to finalise my conference details for August (guys in London with spare rooms that I can crash at please see the previous post with regard to where the conference is as those closer to it would be prefered places to stay.... or again any good cheap student priced hotels!). Then Saturday is Game07 with fellow gamer/geek/goff types :P and Miss Jinny presents in the evening. And Sunday is TokyoSmashup. So a great end planned for whjat has been a good week.

Conference!
Hey guys.
Those of you in the London area:
I'm needing to see feasibility of a) getting crash space or b) hotel to stay at for a conference for August 30th-5th of September.
The conference http://quantumsystems.googlepages.com/2007qscpworkshop takes place at Royal Holloway, University of London. This is located as marked on this map.
So in general any suggestions would be good as the cost of staying at the conference is high and I'd rather that grant money go on my ACS meeting in New Orleans.

Remove the Head, Destroy the Brain!
So here I am sitting in my stinking sweat laden clothes, about to go for a shower. It's been a fun day!
The paper I'm working on is practically done (thought there is some last minute calculations going on!).
Some sad news, but I was glad I was where I was needed at the time. Things are cool.
Some awesome news with regard to a certain Plastik Wrap coat. Thanks to for that. :)
And of course a good weekend of mooching around town with being utter geeks in toy shop full of transformers.
Today has been lots of blood, brains an running with the aid of the zombie crew that did turn up. Some nice footage and my death scene.
Details on certain of these subjects can be on a on demand message. TO tired to go into things now.

We Go Chrome
Bit of an update I thinks!
So Thursday.... umm nowt as far as I can remember... Friday was quiet as I had no meeting.
Friday evening glittersavvy came round to mine and we began to watch Casshern and munch on nummy Hotel Chocolate (ftw!!!).
Saturday morning was my screen acting debut as Leo in the Zombie film. All went well with some funny adlibs by myself and Kieren (also seen in Cyberdog), a few good out takes, excellent zombies in the form of Nick, Neil (bouncer at TV21 and one scary butch zombie!), biomechanina's mother as the office zombie and Dagmara as another student zombie. All great in makeup by biomechanina great skills.
Later on was mooching, black pearl tea in china town, loitering in Cyberdog, home, TV21's with ginja_ninja and Viki and Viki's friend Vanessa, daisydoggy and her minion es0terika, neuromantix, mod (all going prime!), robo_kitchen (in microwave mode) and my dear glittersavvy.
Fun continued into the wee hours... but that is for another post.
Sunday.... monging and reading.
Today so far??? Lit meeting, chat with Paul (drunk on ether) Popelier, ordering my MSc student round, coding and finishing the paper (it is done... now need to edit it).

Oh and ordered new Plastik Wrap goodness.

Council meetings in Reuscould take a turn for the bizarre after the northern Spanish town votedin a councillor who promised to turn up dressed as Elvis Presley andwants to turn the square into a nudist pool.
Ariel Santamaria, aformer postman, stood for a small independent party dressed in fullElvis regalia complete with sideburns and won enough votes last weekendto take a council seat.
It remains to be seen how other parties will take his proposals for Reus, a town of 100,000 people near Barcelona.
Hisplatform included plans to paint the town hall pink, plant marijuana in the parks and give the town police global positioning systems to findpeople who might need a light while rollinga joint.
